    Anthony Antonio Williams

    August 20, 1984 - January 31, 2021

On August 20, 1984, Mr. Anthony Antonio Williams, more affectionately known as “Tony”, was born to Mrs. Shirley Johnson and Jerry Williams, Sr., in Atlanta, Georgia. Anthony had a servant’s heart. Without being asked, he was always available to lend a helping hand. Before his health started to decline, he had a vibrant and happy personality with a zest for life. He loved people. He was always in tune with all the trials and tribulations of life where he was able to shift his perspective from negatives to positives and continue to embrace the truest epiphany in life. His love was not just emotional, but an active love. If you were down, he always provided a listening ear. His favorite scripture was Philippians 4:13. Anthony was a graduate of East Coweta High School. He continued to pursue a higher education at Atlanta Metropolitan Technical College, where he studied and obtained an Associate Degree of Science in Phlebotomy located in Atlanta, Georgia. Anthony, also affectionately known as, “Shooter” to his pool community, loved to play pool in his spare time. He found extreme delight in playing, simply because anyone could play, however it takes a fearless individual to meet the challenges to become great. He was passionate about his love of the arts. He was an avid reader of all types of books, he loved to listen to all genres of music, and he loved gardening. Anthony ascended into the arms of our heavenly Father on Sunday, January 31, 2021. He will forever live in the hearts and on the minds of his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his loving grandmother, Mattie P. Kendrick; brother, Jerry Williams Jr. and stepfather, Bro. Havis L. Johnson. Anthony leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Mrs. Shirley Johnson; father, Mr. Jerry Williams. Sr.; daughter, Ashley Richardson; brother, Canaan Williams; aunt, Annie Walton; uncle, Isaac Walton; special friends, Bryson Amey (who was like a brother), Ieshia Pless, Chelsea Gordon, Shaniqua “Tweet” Richardson & family, Heidi Klein & family; mentor, Gary “Mr. Carl” Arnold; special nieces, Jarius “Renee” Baker, Akilah Lloyd and Jerrica Williams; special cousins, Reginald Walton, Deborah Stephens, Valerie Samuel, Rodney Walton, Wallace McNair, Shanae White, Tahmaar Denny; special dog, Charlie and a host of nieces, relatives and special friends that have helped him along his journey. Public viewing will be held on Sunday, February 14, 2021 , 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM, at Cook Brothers Funeral Directors - 268 NW Broad Street, Fairburn, GA 30213. A funeral service celebrating his life will take place Monday, February 15, 2021, 10 AM, in the chapel. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery - 96 Jefferson Street, Newnan, GA 30263. All family members, friends and well-wishers are required to wear face masks to attend all services. Streaming link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SexEDQzGojQ
