Mr. Danny Ray Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Danny was born on May 5, 1957, to the late Bennett Ray Sr. and Erma Ray. He was the eleventh of eleven children. He was educated in the Coweta County School System. After high school Danny was employed with Porex Technologies in Fairburn, GA where he retired April 2020 after 42 years unconditionally. One of his favorite sayings was “ I got love for ya”. When he said that he meant it. Preceding him in death were brothers, Edward, Carl, Melvin, Huel, C.L. and Bennett Jr.. Sisters, Janie Mae and Helen. He was united in Holy Matrimony to Sherry Booker on November 8,2003. Danny leaves to cherish his memory a very loving and devoted wife of 18 years Sherry Ray, Stepson Demeachtious Booker, sisters Shirley Ray and Linda Henry (Gregory). Five brothers in laws: Melvin and Gregory Henry, Charles, Curtis and Michael Reid. Three sisters in laws Christine Ray, Eunice Tole, Cheryl Reese, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. A Viewing will be held 5 - 8 PM at Cook Brothers Funeral Directors- 268 NW Broad St. Fairburn, GA 30213. A service celebrating his life will take place Friday, December 31, 2:00 PM in our chapel. Interment will follow in the Floral Hill (Palmetto City) Cemetery.
