Mr. Darryl Murrah Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Darryl Murrah was born July 21, 1962, to Shirley Patrick and the late Winston Murrah. Darryl attended Woodbury High school and went into the workforce right after. He was employed at Yamaha in Newnan, GA. before he branched out to work for himself. Doc was a jack of all trades, the life of the party, and the family comedian until his health began to decline. Darryl married Sandra Gates Murrah and to their union, one daughter was born. Darryl was preceded in death by his brother Bennie (BoBo) Geddis. Two grandmothers Ms. Annie Geddis and Ms. Mattie Murrah. He leaves to cherish his memories his parents, Mr. Willie C. Patrick and Ms. Shirley Patrick; his three beautiful and handsome kids: Zelviairea Jamison of Fairburn, GA., Showanda Willis of Luthersville, Ga., and Dimitri Murrah of Greenville, Ga; grandkids: Quincy, Lexus, Valincia, Sha’kniya, Shykeria, Gaius, Serenity, Arielle, and Myla; Two great grandkids Kalon and Paige; his loving siblings Brenda Passmore (Lewis), Norma Edwards, Willie C. Patrick Jr., Andrea Neal (Eddie), Eddie Patrick (Connie), Jeffrey Patrick (Adrianne), Tony Stokes, Curtis Bussey (Jackie), and Curtis Murrah (Shynetria); bonus daughter Andrea Strickland; special friend Jackie Newson and a loving friend of the family Shelia and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A viewing will be held Saturday, July 16, 2022 from 4-6 PM at Saint Smyrna Baptist Church- 68 Heery Rd, Newnan, GA 30263. A celebration of life will take place Sunday, July 17, 2022, 2:00 PM at Saint Smyrna Baptist Church- 68 Heery Rd, Newnan, GA 30263.
