Margaret “Bernice Arnold was born October 16, 1955 in Fayetteville, Georgia, to the late Emma Durham-Mitchell. Bernice, as she was known affectionately by her family, departed this life on Wednesday, July 27, 2022. Bernice is preceded in death by her siblings, David, Shirley, Cleola, Mary, and Virginia. Bernice will also be preceded by her spouse Harold, with whom she leaves to cherish her memories one son Quentez Orr, one granddaughter Jasmine, and her Fur-baby Princess. Margaret, would also be survived by four brothers, Robert (Lisa) Mitchell, Ernest (Wanda) Mitchell, Donald Mitchell, and Charles (Kelly) Mitchell, along with a host of nieces, nephews, devoted friends, and wonderful co-workers. Bernice, was a devoted employee of the Georgian Terrace Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia for over 20 years, being in the hospitality industry for over 40 years. She was an excellent cook. Margaret, before her health would start to fail, Loved to prepare meals for her family to enjoy, from her pork chops which were her #1 request from anyone that had just one. Her cakes and her pies were baked with love for anyone for any reason or no reason at all, sometimes to just show you how much she cared. Bernice will always be remembered as the sassy, firecracker, who was always quick to speak her mind, but loving all the same. With a smile that lit up a room, Margaret “Bernice” Arnold will be dearly missed but dearly remembered. A service celebrating her life will take place Friday, August 5, 2022, 2:00 PM, in the Chapel of Cook Brothers Funeral Directors. Interment will immediately follow in Southview Cemetery. Public viewing will take place Thursday, August 4, 2022, 1 - 7 PM, at Cook Brothers Funeral Directors - 268 NW Broad Street, Fairburn, GA 30213.
